On September 25, 2015, StorySlams.com’s founders Martha Frankel and Kristen Garnier partnered with master memoirist Abigail Thomas to host a fundraiser for Ulster Literacy Association. The only guideline was to write a one page story – using only 3 word sentences. This is a writing exercise that Abby Thomas uses with her students. It was one of the funniest slams we’ve put together. Everyone had a great evening and we raised a substantial amount for ULA. Have a look. Here’s a sampling of stories from some of our storytellers.
